MACUL has become
one of the most prominent technology conferences in the Midwest. Nearly
3,000 educators from throughout Michigan, neighboring states, and
Canada will be attending the MACUL 2008 Conference to learn about a
wide variety of educational technology.
This year's conference will include a futuristic hands-on model
classroom, a student technology showcase, a technology playground and a
professional development reception. The conference will also include
exciting events such as RoboFest and will pay tribute to this year's
outstanding educators. MACUL will also feature distinguished panel
discussions with hot topics such as NCLB and online learning (which we
plan to cover Live on SchoolTube.com).
SchoolTube plans to cover many breakout sessions, RoboFest, and
highlight some of the innovative products being showcased at the
conference. The Broadcast Center will be staffed by technology
professionals and Michigan high school students. Schools are invited to
use the Broadcast Center to create their own programming during the
conference. Facilities offered include studio sets, complete lighting
and audio, virtual sets using green screen techniques, editing bays,
and live streaming to the Internet. The center will produce stories on
topical conference events throughout the conference, so be sure to
check SchoolTube.com for continuing coverage throughout the conference.
