GSN, in partnership with The Princeton Review, presents the National Vocabulary Championship (NVC). The NVC is an initiative that aims to inspire students to expand their vocabularies and narrow the achievement gap. The program offers free educational resources, creates spirited competition through testing and game play, and awards more than $100,000 annually in college tuition and other prizes.

High school students looking to compete in the NVC need to take the qualifying exam by the November 30, 2007 deadline. Student's can find the exam at WinWithWords.com.

Top scoring finalists will move on to the national competition held in Los Angeles Spring 2008. The qualifying exam finalists will compete alongside the eight citywide champions for a $40,000 college scholarship.
