GSN, in partnership with The Princeton Review, presents the National
Vocabulary Championship (NVC). The NVC is an initiative that aims to
inspire students to expand their vocabularies and narrow the
achievement gap. The program offers free educational resources, creates
spirited competition through testing and game play, and awards more
than $100,000 annually in college tuition and other prizes.
High school students looking to compete in the NVC need to take the
qualifying exam by the November 30, 2007 deadline. Student's can find

Top scoring finalists will move on to the national competition held in
Los Angeles Spring 2008. The qualifying exam finalists will compete
alongside the eight citywide champions for a $40,000 college
scholarship.
