Run by the chair of the math department of Desert Vista High School in Arizona, Larry Strom, has been running a summer math camp since the school year ended. A group of teachers from Desert Vista and Mountain Pointe HIgh School help run the camp and teach a group of students from elementary and middle school kids math fundamentals. Their eight-week program is designed to teach a school year's worth of math during the summer. The goal of the summer camp is to help prepare students for success in math once they get to high school.
