Coach Phipps' Introduction to Career Clusters classes recently assembled Lego cars in an attempt to simulate a manufacturing and assembly work environment in mass production. The exercise was part of the manufacturing cluster as recognized by the SC department of education. The exercise requires the students using only pictures as reference, to work in teams to see how fast they could correctly assemble the cars which consist of thirty five parts. The record time of one minute seventeen seconds was set by the sixth grade team of Tristan, Nick, Jarod, Erica and Whitney.
