Description:
Original lyrics to explain some of the problems facing urban dwellers in the United States during the 19th Century. "All Alone" (mal) I hear the yelling, oh here we go again I hide beneath my bed, waiting for it to end Got no protection, except the crumbling walls There's no police to help, no one to stop the tears My house aint the only thing... Fall'n apart, my hope is to Government they watch us suffer... They don't do a thing (both) All alone Why do I have to face this on my own Everything I've gone through, no one knows Disease and heartache's killing me oh All alone In this crowded place i have no home And I can't stand the violence at my door But no one seems to care bout me Oh, that's the life that I lead (meg) I see the flaming house, as it burns to the ground I hear their tortured cries, some people try to help... Bringing buckets to the house No equipment that will help See the faces slowly burn See them in my dreams... (both) All alone Why do I have to face this on my own Everything I've gone through, no one knows Disease and heartache's killing me oh All alone In this crowded place i have no home And I can't stand the violence at my door But no one seems to care bout me Oh, (mal)it's killing me oo-oo-oo (3-8 counts, 2 beats) (meg) Killing me, killing me... (both) All this change It's causing such heartache and so much pain Farming to Fact'ries it's just not the same This revolution's killing me Oh, that's the life that I lead
