Catalano is the only known saxophone player to have performed with Miles Davis, Randy Brecker, Charles Earland, Stan Getz, Betty Carter, Von Freeman, Tito Puente, Tony Bennett, and Louis Bellson, while still in high school. He performed at the Music Education Week jazz concert.
