Description:
Brennan, 9, talks about publishing, The Spruce St. Weekly, a hand written weekly Port Townsend neighborhood newspaper. On July 30, Brennan was informed that he was one of 22 finalists selected from a field of nearly 400 to compete for 12 Time For Kids (TFK) 2009-2010 school year reporter positions. Contestants had to write a personal statement on why they would make a good TFK Kid Reporter and a news article demonstrating their reporting and interviewing skills. Now, the finalists must research and write a 300-word news story on a local hero that has made an impact on their community or elsewhere and produce a video demonstrating the Top 5 Amazing Things about themselves.
