As part of the National Anthem Project, more than 1,000 children from across the country sang the national anthem by the U.S. Capitol building in honor of Flag Day 2008. They were joined by the Cactus Cuties and the U.S. Marine Band. The mission of the National Anthem Project was to re-teach the anthem while raising awareness of the importance of school music.
