Description:
The mission of the National Anthem Project, 2004-2007, was to re-teach the anthem while raising awareness of the importance of school music. Here, citizens on the street attempt to recall the anthem's words. A 2004 Harris poll showed that 2/3 of Americans did not know the lyrics.
