The Ag Science News CASTs are short science reports focused on animal sciences, food sciences and agricultural technology, plant and soil sciences, and plant protection sciences with inputs from economists, social scientists, toxicologists or plant pathologists and entomologists, weed scientists,and nematologist experts. The Ag Science News CASTs report on recent science publications from 33 scientific societies. Each science publication is written by multiple voluntary scientists from many disciplines. The pool of scientists is composed of and represents over 33 scientific societies representing over 170,000 scientists. The wide distribution of these News CAST publications to non-scientists enhances the education and understanding of the general public.
