The lesson for this video example can be found on the EDUCATOR page here on SchoolTube. Students were instructed to find ELEVEN (11) news articles from the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, internet, news magazines or the Ladue newspaper. Students cut or photo copied each article and attached the articles to their assignment. As students read each article, they answered the following questions: who, what, where, when, why, and how. This helped students get the important information from the articles. Students organized the information, listing the MOST important first. They used the inverted pyramid theory. Students wrote their scripts, entered them on a teleprompter, and recorded their newscasts.
