She was the first woman to win the Nobel Prize and she discovered the science of radioactivity.
#2 Rosa Parks, 1913-2005
She helped spark the civil rights movement and advocate for racial equality when she refused to give up her bus seat to a white man.
#3 Megan Rapinoe, 1985-Present
She fought for gender equality and equal pay in women's soccer. She is also a large advocate for LGBTQ+ rights.
#4 Frida Kahlo, 1907-1954
She was a Mexican artist who used her art to push for gender, class, racial and LGBTQ+ rights.
#5 Michelle Obama, 1964-Present
The former first lady of the U.S. strongly advocated for better education for females and African Americans. She also fought for healthier food alternatives in schools.
