Grade Level: 1-3

Subject: Arts and Crafts

Duration: 60 minutes

- CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.SL.3.1: Engage effectively in a range of collaborative discussions (one-on-one, in groups, and teacher-led) with diverse partners on grade 3 topics and texts, building on others' ideas and expressing their own clearly.

- Students will analyze and discuss the concept of Easter gifts and spring decorations.
- Students will engage in a hands-on spring decoration activity.
- Students will write an informative/explanatory paragraph about their favorite Easter gift or decoration.

We’re finally ready for spring now that our home is decorated and our children’s Easter baskets are filled and ready to enjoy! I know that many of you can’t go out to purchase Easter basket items, so I encourage you to use online shopping, or grocery store pickups (when available) to minimize contact but still get into the spirit of the season. We never go “above and beyond” when it comes to gifts for the children. In my mind, gifts are fun, but it’s the memories that will last.
