Materials:
- Fresh tomatoes of different sizes and varieties
- Cutting boards and knives (chef's knife, serrated knife)
- Paper towels or kitchen towels
- Recipe printouts that incorporate tomatoes (optional)
- Optional: Tasting plates and forks for tomato sampling

Procedure:

1. Introduction (10 minutes)
- Begin the lesson by discussing the importance of tomatoes in various cuisines and their versatility in different dishes.
- Engage students in a discussion about their favorite tomato-based recipes and how tomatoes are typically prepared.

2. Knife Safety and Basic Techniques (10 minutes)
