Lesson Plan: ⁣Trampoline Art Challenge: Don't You Dare Move with Spray Paint!

Grade Levels: 3-8

Objective:
- To engage students in a creative and physical activity that combines trampoline jumping and spray painting.
- To foster teamwork, coordination, and artistic expression through the unique challenge of creating art while jumping on a trampoline.

Common Core Standards:
- CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.SL.3.1: Engage effectively in a range of collaborative discussions (one-on-one, in groups, and teacher-led) with diverse partners on grade 3 topics and texts, building on others' ideas and expressing their own clearly.
- CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.SL.8.1: Engage effectively in a range of collaborative discussions (one-on-one, in groups, and teacher-led) with diverse partners on grade 8 topics, texts, and issues, building on others' ideas and expressing their own clearly.

Materials:
- Trampoline(s)
- Washable spray paint (in various colors)
- Large sheets of paper or canvas
- Protective clothing (aprons or old clothes)
- Optional: Safety goggles and masks for students

Procedure:

1. Introduction (10 minutes)
- Begin the lesson by explaining the concept of the "Don't You Dare Move with Spray Paint" challenge.
- Discuss the importance of teamwork, coordination, and following instructions during the activity.

2. Safety Precautions (5 minutes)
- Emphasize the importance of safety during the activity.
- Instruct students to wear protective clothing (aprons or old clothes) and, if desired, safety goggles and masks.
- Establish clear boundaries for the trampoline area and remind students to jump responsibly.

3. Trampoline Art Stations (15 minutes)
- Set up different trampoline art stations by placing large sheets of paper or canvas on the ground near each trampoline.
- Assign small groups of students to each station, ensuring an equal distribution of spray paint colors.

4. Trampoline Art Creation (30 minutes)
- Instruct students to take turns jumping on the trampoline and creating art by spraying paint onto the paper or canvas.
- Encourage students to coordinate their movements and timing to create cohesive and visually appealing artwork.
- Remind students not to move or step off the trampoline while spray painting.

5. Gallery Walk and Reflection (10 minutes)
- Display the trampoline art creations around the classroom or in a designated gallery area.
- Conduct a gallery walk where students view and appreciate each other's artwork.
- Facilitate a reflective discussion about the challenges, successes, and collaborative aspects of the activity.
