This is a fun Star Wars themed game designed by a P.E. teacher, but any teacher can use it. You’ll need a few objects to get started: a hula hoop (space ship) and pool noodle (lightsaber) per team, and about 3 “treasures” for each team to guard. In the video, the teacher recommends bean bags for the treasure, but you can use anything that fits your lesson. You might want to do numbered objects so the goal of the game becomes collecting treasures that gives you a sum of the number you call out. Likewise, you could do objects labeled with letters and have the goal be to spell the word you call out. This is a great way to practice spelling words and vocab. Don’t forget to check back daily for more Star Wars in the classroom ideas and videos!
