Lesson Plan: ⁣Taste of Korea: Kids Explore the Delights of Korean BBQ!
Grade Levels: 5-7

Objective:
- To introduce students to the flavors and cultural significance of Korean BBQ.
- To promote cultural appreciation and understanding through food experiences.
- To develop descriptive writing skills through the analysis of taste, texture, and cultural elements of Korean BBQ.

Materials:
- Assorted Korean BBQ dishes (e.g., bulgogi, galbi, samgyeopsal)
- Grill or stovetop for cooking the meats
- Plates, utensils, and napkins for tasting
- Paper and pencils for reflection and discussion

Procedure:

1. Introduction (10 minutes)
- Begin the lesson by discussing the popularity of Korean BBQ and its cultural significance in Korean cuisine.
- Show pictures or videos of different Korean BBQ dishes to spark curiosity and interest.

2. BBQ Tasting and Discussion (30 minutes)
- Cook the various Korean BBQ meats and serve them on separate plates.
- Instruct students to taste each dish and experience the different flavors, textures, and cultural elements of Korean BBQ.
- Encourage students to discuss their observations and share their thoughts on the taste, aroma, and any cultural connections they may perceive.

4. Informative Writing (30 minutes)
