At the start of the new year, our family took a few days from my brother's destination wedding to visit Vientiane, Laos. Unfortunately, all three of us caught a severe flu the day we were flying in from the states. I spent one of our three days in Laos dying in my bed and the rest in a haze. It was regrettable because Vientiane was beautiful and I wasn't able to capture it in a way that I thought did it justice. The food was excellent, and the people were tremendously kind.
