- Images or videos related to deforestation and coconut waste briquettes
- Paper and writing utensils
- Computers or tablets with internet access (optional)

Procedure:

1. Warm-up (5 minutes):
- Display the title: "Briquettes Made From Coconut Waste Could Reduce Deforestation."
- Ask students if they have any initial thoughts or knowledge about deforestation and its impact on the environment.
- Facilitate a brief discussion to gather their prior knowledge and concerns about deforestation.

2. Introduction to Deforestation and Sustainable Fuel Sources (10 minutes):

- Discuss the concept of deforestation, its causes, and the negative consequences for ecosystems, climate, and biodiversity.
- Introduce the idea of sustainable fuel sources and their potential to reduce deforestation.
- Ask students to share their initial thoughts on sustainable fuel sources.

3. Reading and Analysis Activity (15 minutes):
- Provide articles or online resources about deforestation, coconut waste briquettes, and sustainable fuel sources.
- Instruct students to read the materials individually and highlight or underline important details about the use of coconut waste briquettes as an alternative to traditional fuel sources.
- Encourage students to take notes on the materials and identify the environmental benefits of using coconut waste briquettes.

4. Group Discussion and Analysis (15 minutes):
- Divide students into small groups and assign each group a specific discussion prompt related to the topic (e.g., benefits of coconut waste briquettes, social and economic implications, individual actions to reduce deforestation).
- Instruct groups to discuss their assigned prompt, make a list of key points, and prepare a short presentation to share with the class.
- Allow each group to present their findings, engage in a class discussion, and encourage students to ask questions and provide counterarguments.

5. Reflection and Action Plan (10 minutes):
- Ask students to individually reflect on the following prompt:
a. What actions can individuals take to reduce deforestation and promote the use of sustainable fuel sources in their daily lives?
- Instruct students to write a short action plan outlining specific steps and initiatives they can implement to address the issue.

6. Whole-class Discussion and Conclusion (5 minutes):
- Engage students in a whole-class discussion by sharing and discussing their reflections and action plans.
- Encourage students to consider the importance of individual actions in reducing deforestation and promoting environmental sustainability.

Assessment:
- Participation in group discussions and whole-class discussions
- Completion and thoughtfulness of the individual reflection prompt
