⁣Lesson Plan: Exploring Easter Gifts and Spring Decorations

Grade Level: 1-3

Subject: Arts and Crafts

Duration: 60 minutes

Common Core Standards:
- CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.RL.1.7: Use illustrations and details in a story to describe its characters, setting, or events.
- CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.W.2.2: Write informative/explanatory texts in which they introduce a topic, use facts and definitions to develop points, and provide a concluding statement or section.
- CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.SL.3.1: Engage effectively in a range of collaborative discussions (one-on-one, in groups, and teacher-led) with diverse partners on grade 3 topics and texts, building on others' ideas and expressing their own clearly.

Objectives:
- Students will analyze and discuss the concept of Easter gifts and spring decorations.
- Students will engage in a hands-on spring decoration activity.
- Students will write an informative/explanatory paragraph about their favorite Easter gift or decoration.

Materials:
- Visual aids or pictures showcasing Easter gifts and spring decorations
- Craft supplies for spring decoration activity (e.g., construction paper, scissors, glue, markers, stickers, etc.)
- Writing utensils
- Chart paper or whiteboard

Procedure:

1. Introduction (5 minutes):
- Begin the lesson by engaging students in a discussion about Easter and spring.

2. Reading and Analysis (10 minutes):
