Lesson Plan: Exploring Historical Sites - The Missouri State Penitentiary After-Dark Tour

Objectives:
- Students will explore the history and significance of the Missouri State Penitentiary.

Procedure:
1. Introduction (10 minutes):
- Begin the lesson by discussing the concept of historical sites and their importance in preserving and understanding history.
- Introduce the Missouri State Penitentiary as a significant historical site and mention its after-dark tours.
2. Pre-Visit Analysis (20 minutes):
- Provide students with a set of primary and secondary sources related to the Missouri State Penitentiary and its after-dark tours.
- Instruct students to individually analyze the sources, identifying key events, ideas, and ethical considerations.
- Encourage students to take notes and annotate the sources as they read or view them.
3. Group Discussion (20 minutes):
