Materials Needed:
- Clear glue
- Liquid starch
- Glitter (assorted colors)
- Food coloring (assorted colors)
- Plastic containers
- Mixing bowls
- Mixing utensils
- Measuring cups
- Optional: Foam beads, sequins, or other decorative elements
Procedure:
1. Introduction (10 minutes):
- Engage students by discussing the trend of Instagram slime and its visually appealing qualities.
- Introduce the concept of creating Instagram-worthy slime and explain that students will be exploring unique ingredients and techniques to achieve visually stunning results.
2. Safety Precautions (5 minutes):
- Discuss safety precautions, such as avoiding contact with eyes, washing hands after handling the slime, and not ingesting it.
3. Step-by-Step Instructions (20 minutes):
- Provide students with step-by-step instructions for creating Instagram-worthy slime:
a) Measure 1 cup of clear glue and pour it into a mixing bowl.
b) Add a few drops of food coloring (choose vibrant colors) to the glue and mix well.
c) Gradually add liquid starch to the glue mixture while stirring continuously.
